Common Mistakes to Avoid
Forgetting to switch from Preview Mode to Edit Mode before trying to make changes.
Making edits but not clicking Publish, which means your updates are not applied to the live dashboard.
Using Copy Public URL without realizing it “will make the URL publicly searchable on the web.”
Selecting more than one option under Data when the dashboard requires you to select ONE dimension.
Adding sections without planning layout first. Note: “Once a section is added, it cannot be delete.”
Best Practices for FORWARD Direct Users
Use Preview Mode to confirm how the dashboard will look once published, then switch to Edit Mode when you’re ready to make changes.
Add a clear Page Name and (if needed) a Description so each page is easy to understand on the Dashboard Canvas.
Use Filter (Date and State) to review the same dashboard under different time periods or application statuses.
Only use Copy Public URL when you intentionally want a shareable link that does not require portal access and you understand it can become publicly searchable.
After changes, click Publish to apply and save your edits to the live dashboard.
