When Should I Use This?
Use portal branding and color settings when you need to:
Add or update your organization’s Large Logo, Small Logo, or Background Image
Adjust your portal color scheme (primary color, background, text, borders)
Verify that your branding looks correct on login, sign-up, and portal selection pages
Step-by-Step Instructions
1) Confirm you have the right access
Open Portal Settings.
Confirm you are a Portal Admin (Portal Admins manage portal details, Logos & Images, Branding, and other portal settings).
2) Upload or update your Logos and Background Image
In Portal Settings, select Logo & Images.
Upload your Large Logo (used in the portal header).
Recommended specs: 300 × 80 px
Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, SVG
Max size: 20MB
Upload your Small Logo (used on sign up, login, and portal selection pages).
Recommended specs: 80 × 80 px
Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, SVG
Max size: 20MB
Upload your Background Image (used on login and portal selection pages).
Recommended specs: 1920 × 1080 px
Accepted formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG
Max size: 20MB
Note: the visible area will be 60% of the left side.
3) Set your portal color scheme
In Portal Settings, select Branding.
Use the dropdowns to select your portal colors:
Primary: main actions and highlights
Primary Light: backgrounds and subtle highlights
Primary Dark: hover states and emphasis
Secondary Background: cards, sections, subtle UI elements
Background: default background for surfaces
Text: primary text color for content
Border: default border color for UI elements
4) Review your portal pages to confirm the look
Go to the login, sign-up, and portal selection pages to preview your logos and background image.
If anything looks unclear or unbalanced, return to Logo & Images, adjust your files, and re-upload as needed.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Uploading files that don’t match the supported formats or size limits (for example, over 20MB).
Forgetting that the Background Image only shows the left 60% of the image area (important for layout and cropping).
Skipping the preview step (always check login, sign-up, and portal selection pages after changes).
Leaving required portal fields incomplete before saving (this can cause save errors).
Best Practices for FORWARD Direct Users
Make sure portal branding updates are completed by a Portal Admin, since Portal Admins manage portal details, Logos & Images, and Branding.
After uploading images, always preview on login, sign-up, and portal selection pages and re-upload if needed for clarity and visual balance.
Keep image files aligned to the recommended specs so they display cleanly in the header and login experience.
