When Should I Use This?

Use dashboard sharing when you need to:

• Share dashboard visuals with someone who does not have access to the portal (for example, a funder or executive stakeholder)

• Decide which dashboard pages are visible in the public dashboard view

• Confirm what viewers will see by checking Preview Mode before you Publish 

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Go to Manage Program.

2. Open your program’s Dashboard.

3. Confirm you are in Preview Mode (the dashboard opens in Preview mode by default).

4. If you need to make changes, switch to Edit Mode using the Preview/Edit Mode Toggle.

5. (Optional) Use Pages to select the page you want to share or update.

6. In the Page Settings right sidebar, locate Public Page.

7. Turn on Public Page for any page you want visible in the public dashboard view.

8. Click Publish to apply and save all recent edits to the live dashboard.

9. In the dashboard toolbar, click Copy Public URL.

10. Share the link with your intended viewers.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

• Copying the public link without understanding visibility: Copy Public URL makes the dashboard URL publicly searchable on the web.

• Forgetting to publish changes: Preview Mode shows updates as they will appear once published, but changes are not applied to the live dashboard until you click Publish.

• Expecting a page to show publicly without enabling it: If Public Page is not enabled for a page, it will not be visible in the public dashboard view.
