Getting Started

Upload Logos and Custom Branding

Upload your organization’s logos and background image, and how to set your portal branding colors in FORWARD Direct.

When Should I Use This?

Use these Portal Settings when you need to:

  • Upload your Large Logo for the portal header

  • Upload your Small Logo for sign up, login, and portal selection pages

  • Upload a Background Image for login and portal selection pages

  • Select portal Branding colors (Primary, Background, Text, Border, and more)

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Confirm you have the Portal Admin role (Portal Admins can upload and update Logos and Images and edit Branding).

  2. Go to Portal Settings

  3. Select Logo & Images

  4. Prepare your branding files using the recommended specs:

    • Large Logo: 300*80px (JPG, PNG, SVG; max 20MB)

    • Small Logo: 80*80px (JPG, PNG, SVG; max 20MB)

    • Background Image: 1920x1080px (JPG, JPEG, PNG; max 20MB)

  5. Upload your Large Logo (used as the logo on the header).

  6. Upload your Small Logo (used on the sign up, login, and portal selection pages).

  7. Upload your Background Image (used on the login and portal selection pages; the visible area will be 60% of the left side).

  8. Preview your portal branding by reviewing the login, sign-up, and portal selection pages, and re-upload files if needed.

  9. In Portal Settings, select Branding

  10. Choose your portal color scheme from the dropdown, including:

  11. Primary (main actions and highlights)

  12. Primary Light (backgrounds and subtle highlights)

  13. Primary Dark (hover states and emphasis)

  14. Secondary Background (cards, sections, subtle UI elements)

  15. Background (default background color for surfaces)

  16. Text (primary text color for content)

  17. Border (default border color for UI elements)

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Uploading files that don’t match the recommended formats or sizes (this can lead to poor display or upload issues).

  • Skipping the preview step—logos often need adjustments for clarity and visual balance on the login, sign-up, and portal selection pages.

  • Forgetting that the Background Image visible area is limited (only 60% of the left side is visible).

Best Practices for FORWARD Direct Users

  • Keep branding updates limited to Portal Admins to prevent accidental changes across applicant-facing pages.

  • Use the recommended logo sizes so your header and login screens stay readable and consistent across pages.

  • After uploading, always review applicant-facing pages and re-upload if needed for clarity or balance.
